Thanks for the read and for taking a moment to drop in. Mabel rocks :) Covid was also a strange blessing in disguise. I'll write about that sometime. Until then, stay well!
Thank you for writing this story. Seeing in words what it's like on this property makes me love it all the more, and I adore little Dewey and our Mabel who I could watch for hours.
This reminds me of the solitude I find when I’m out of the city and on the island each summer. I’ve got deer on one side and seals on the other, and peaceful creativity somewhere in the middle. ☮️
A beautiful piece Michelle. This loner over here is a combination of all. Squirrels and birds staying out of the way of the stray cats that inhabit the patch of grass now covered with snow again.
This makes me miss my deer friends at the other place we lived. They keep more of a distance here. I had a loner hen too, Lucky. I am comfortable being on my own but have social butterfly wings as well. I sometimes struggle with finding balance with these polar opposite characteristics. Love, love, love you’re stories I can relate to do well.
Lucky is such a great name for a loner hen!! Yes, I know that struggle well of balancing the polar opposites. It ebbs and flows, but thankfully, mostly flows. It's nice to connect with you. Also, I read your description and you mentioned missing the Living Room Sessions. I miss those too!! We are all blessed here in this valley to have had so many good times...with more to come I trust :) Thanks for dropping in here and for your kind words.
I'm a Mabel fan. Lovely post. I'm so sorry to hear of your experience with COVID.

Thanks for taking time to read and comment mom. Dewey spends more time at your house - I'm so grateful you love animals too :)
