Thanks for the vivid armchair daytrip to the beautiful Smith River! I miss those clear, cold, fast-flowing waters from my years out west. Mesmerizing!

Thanks for the read and response Terry! Yes, the rivers out here are hard to beat. I feel grateful to be close enough to play in them all summer :) Hope you are well! Are you a writer as well?

Writing has always been part of my career path in public relations, media, and education. In the latter I taught research writing, technical writing, and basic writing composition courses at Montana State--"meat and potatoes writing."

Oh wow, you're an official writer - haha! I'm self-taught and will now try real hard to not be self-conscious :) Those are all GREAT skills to have in the back pocket, for sure. Do you still live in Montana? I used to live on Highway 2 between Libby & Kalispell. My memoir contains a good bit of my experience living up there when I was younger. I'm still wrestling it into a first draft and have a ways to go. It's my first real attempt at writing a book. And it's kicking my ass. I always picture you in McCarthy - so cool the Montana connection is there as well!

I appreciate the challenges and and admire the courage it takes for creative writing. You go girl! For me writing was just part of getting my jobs done along the way... meat and potatoes pragmatism that kept food on the table. After first living near Kalispell and then Havre, I've retired to TN on my " dream farm." But I miss that special edge and colorful people out West and in Alaska. Your stories take me back to these places, thanks!
