Great read Michelle - almost made me forget I don't like fish lol - a wonderful description - reminds me of my time, on the peninsula.

We caught some in the ocean a few years ago. Beautiful magic fish! If you have some extra reading time I recommend Carl Safina’s “Song For A Blue Ocean”

Well that was a fun trip, thanks! So realistic in parts, like sliding down the scree the bank to the river. Although you capture well the brutality of killing the salmon, the end of the story still left that delicious taste in my imagination.
